Can I offer a different perspective? Is it possible that when we don't see an answer to our prayers that it is Satan tempting us to doubt God? Think about the temptation of Jesus in the wilderness. Satan was able to kidnap the Son of God and take him first to the highest point of the temple and then to the top of a mountain. If God allowed Satan to tempt His Son in this manner, is it possible that the bad things in this life are temptations from Satan to convince you that God is not faithful? I believe when we attribute unanswered prayer to God knowing what is best for our life, we just gave into the temptation and believed the lie that God is not faithful to His word. When we doubt God, it is impossible to receive anything from Him.
